Up to this point, I have assiduously avoided joining "social networking" sites (Facebook, etc.) because of privacy/security concerns. I suppose this blog could be viewed as opening the door to that realm, but I'm hoping it remains mostly a forum for communication with friends, family and like-minded strangers (sometimes strangers can end up becoming quite good friends!).
